Employee Stories

James Cullinan
Medical Director
Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic
Emergency Department

When James Cullinan started working as Medical Director for the Emergency Department, its lobby was under construction. He learned that donations to the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic Foundation were funding the renovations and saw firsthand the impact they made in the experience patients and staff had with the hospital.

“The renovation led to a clean, new and more inviting space, that put people at ease and seemed to reassure them about the care they were receiving at Clifton Springs.”

“This type of impact can’t be replaced; these are the changes I want to support for employees, this hospital, and the community we serve.”

James started donating to the Foundation so improvements in care could continue – and their impact could reach even more lives.

Together we can maintain this momentum with gifts like yours making an even greater difference.

The G.W. Lisk, Co., Inc. and Marjorie B. Morris are matching gifts up to $1.5 million. That means any amount you give will be doubled until December 31, and any amount you give will be appreciated.

Thank you for being part of a community that cares, and improving the lives of so many throughout the region.

Adrienne Alvaro
Educator - RN
Nursing
Newark-Wayne Community Hospital

For Adrienne Alvaro, Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic is more than just the place she works. It has been a place of growth, security, and support.

“This hospital has always felt like home, my safe place in this wonderful profession,” said Adrienne, who started her career in nursing at Clifton Springs and now donates to the hospital. “By giving back, I am able to do my part to support the place that I consider my foundation.”

From staff nurse to nurse leader, Adrienne found example after example of exemplary patient care – the kind of care you’d want for your loved ones.

“The rich history and small town feel has been something that has drawn me to the unique patient care that we can provide,” she said. “The hospital is an icon in the community.”

Like Adrienne, you can make sure generations of patients and staff members can count on Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic. If you donate right now, the G.W. Lisk, Co., Inc. and Marjorie B. Morris will match employee gifts up to $1.5 million. That means any amount you give will be doubled, and any amount you give will be appreciated.

Thank you for making our Clifton Springs family even stronger.

Julia DeBadts
Clinical Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Julia (Julie) DeBadts grew up in the Adirondacks, an hour’s drive from the nearest hospital. So, she understands the importance of being able to get health care close to home.

“I have spent a large portion of my nursing career in small town hospitals,” she said. “I have lived through the closing of several of those, and I know just how devastating that can be to the community.”

That’s why she and her husband have always donated to their local hospitals, and when they learned about the Lisk-Morris Family Challenge match, it was an easy decision to support Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.

“I live by the credo that you shouldn’t ask or expect others to do something you wouldn’t do yourself,” Julie said. “Even a small donation shows our community that we are working side by side with them to keep our hospitals strong and flourishing. If we don’t support Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic, who will?”

You can join Julie and her husband in supporting community hospitals – and in having your gift doubled – if you donate now. Any amount you give will be appreciated by the thousands of families who count on the health care they receive at Clifton Springs.

Thank you for making our community healthier and stronger.
