PLEASE JOIN US FOR AN EXCLUSIVE INTERACTIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE, HIGHLIGHTING THE EVOLVING CARE AT ROCHESTER REGIONAL HEALTH
September 24, 2018
5:30 PM - 9 PM
Wegman Center for Workforce Development
1630 Portland Avenue | Rochester, NY
You can choose to attend two of the following sessions:
Join Drs. Jeremiah Depta and Scott Feitell for an overview of two Sands-Constellation Heart Institute programs that are leading the region’s cardiac care: Heart Failure and Advanced Valvular & Structural Heart Disease. This is your chance to get an up-close and hands-on look at some of the innovative and minimally invasive technology and techniques – such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement – that the institute is using to save and extend lives.
Dr. Mary Dombovy will take you through the wide range of care that Rochester Regional provides for injuries and diseases affecting the brain, spine, nerves and muscles. You will also have the opportunity to look closely at the region’s first concussion management program with Dr. Anthony Petraglia. You will be able to take tests and use tools that assess brain health and challenge those recovering from or coping with traumatic neurological injuries and movement disorders.
The Wegman Center is equipped to provide our nurses, and now you, with authentic replications of clinical experiences in a safe learning environment. This session, led by members of our Chief Nursing Officer Council and Simulation Tech team, includes a tour of three rooms: a Clinical Care Room, featuring a child birth simulation; an Adult Care Room, where you can use a defibrillator; and a Pediatric Care Room that enables you to experience care from a clinician’s perspective.
A 15-minute breast screening might be all it takes to beat cancer. One of the ways Rochester Regional makes this life-saving step more convenient for women throughout the region is our mobile mammography center. Use your session time to tour our state-of-the-art mobile detection unit, watch a GoPro video of the unit being built and learn about how our program is preventing and treating cancer from our imaging and breast center experts.
