New Medical Village

Because Clifton Springs Matters

In November 2016, Rochester Regional Health launched Because Care Matters, a $300 million campaign to raise comprehensive support, system-wide. To ensure our community members have access to the quality care they need and deserve, Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic has a goal to raise $12 million for the Campaign. The centerpiece of our fundraising effort is the new Medical Village.

Working within our current footprint, we have initiated a $32 million renovation that will create an outpatient center of more than 50,000 square feet that enables us to focus on community wellness, by adding new programs and expanding existing ones. Not only does this modernize physical spaces that are nearly 50 years old, it also helps us provide residents of Ontario County with greater access to primary care and specialty service providers. Construction is scheduled to be completed by January 2020.

Longtime, local donors Marjorie B. Morris and G.W. Lisk, Co., Inc. have committed a combined $3 million toward the Medical Village. Marjorie Morris is the wife of the late I. A. “Drew” Morris, who took over operation of G.W. Lisk in 1946. From that point forward, the Morris family and G.W. Lisk have provided unparalleled support to Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic and the community it serves.

G.W. Lisk and the Morris family are passionate about healthcare and even more passionate about their community. That’s why they have promised to match gifts to Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic until December 31, 2019, up to a total of $1.5 million.

So, the challenge is to maximize the Lisk-Morris commitment.

To meet it, we’re asking the community to help us raise $750,000 each year for the next two years. Any gift of any amount—this includes bequests and deferred gifts—counts toward the challenge.

Your hospital needs your help—not only for the Medical Village, but for many other vitally important projects. You have an opportunity to help create the kind of hospital you want for yourself and your family and the kind of hospital you are proud to have in your community.

We are at the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic. We hope you choose to be a part of it.

“This is the community’s hospital. And I think this is a great opportunity for the community to take more ownership of it by making a gift, talking about the hospital with others or doing anything else they can to help ensure we have access to quality healthcare locally. Bottom line is we have to do this together.”
