Rochester Regional Health “Breaks Ground” on New Center

Oct 30, 2016

A symbolic ground breaking ceremony was held to publicly recognize a generous $5 million gift from the Riedman Foundation. The gift supports the construction of the new Riedman Health Center, a 76,000-square-foot building at East Ridge Road and Goodman Street in Irondequoit. The building will be a state-of-the-art facility, providing our many community members convenient access to a variety of patient care services.

This gift is the latest of several that the foundation, headed by patriarch John Riedman, a longtime Rochester General Hospital and Rochester Regional Health board member, has made to the health system.

“This is an example of what redeveloping an old building will do for the growth of Irondequoit,” said Riedman Companies President David Riedman. “Rochester Regional Health is a great driver of the economy and a great steward of the community and its continued success.”

The Riedman Health Center will house a number of outpatient services that are currently located at Rochester General Hospital and other Rochester Regional Health facilities. The center will be a destination for primary care, pediatrics, dental, behavioral health, physical therapy, pharmacy, a blood draw station and more.
