Because Care Matters: The Campaign for Rochester Regional Health is off to the races in the Eastern Region.
Fundraising efforts at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic were bolstered derby-style by this year’s Run for the Roses Gala. The gala also provided a stage for Kaye Stone-Gansz and Bob Woodhouse to be announced as the Campaign vice-chairs for Newark-Wayne and Clifton Springs, respectively. They will support Campaign Chair Rob Sands, president and chief executive officer of Constellation Brands.
Stone-Gansz is the president and chief executive officer of Stone Goose Enterprises, a gravel and sand mining operation in Wayne County. Woodhouse is board chair and former chief financial officer of G.W. Lisk, a machining manufacturer in Clifton Springs. Together, they will help realize Rochester Regional Health’s vision for a standard of care that would produce more success stories, like that of Pam Polashenski, MD.
One of the gala’s featured speakers, Dr. Polashenski shared her story about her successful fight against breast cancer, which included chemotherapy at Clifton Springs and regular blood draws at Newark-Wayne and Clifton Springs.
The gala was held at Ventosa Vineyard in Geneva, NY, which provided a beautiful setting for an evening of mint juleps, fancy hats, and other racetrack fun that you can see in the event photo gallery.
